Christmas Party coming up? Here are 5 great ideas for your office Christmas Party. We put this together weighing all the important factors when putting on an event for your colleagues. It’s a busy time so we factored in the ease of putting them together. You could organise the details yourself but getting an management company involved is a good idea for these themes
1. Casino Party Night: The Fun Casino is one of the most engaging and all inclusive events you can do. Its easy to set up and once it is the tables look fantastic. When your guests arrive you are already pretty covered when it come to decor. With a little bit more investment you can transform a venue to take your guests breath away.
Blackjack and Roulette are the two most popular games but poker tables have been making more and more of an appearance lately. We find that one poker table per 100 people is plenty and we run a separate competition with separate prizes. People love an opportunity to potentially go home with the office turkey!! https://www.junction.ie/themed-events/?swcfpc=1
2. Christmas Carnival: Think a normal Carnival Party and then sprinkle some magic Christmas dust all over and then you have the Christmas Carnival. The red and white Candy stripped stalls work perfect for the Christmas theme and with a bit of work Carnival stalls transform in Christmas Games.
For example, you can change Coconut Shy into Christmas Pudding Shy! Smash a Can can be themed into Smash a Snowman. And Ball in a Bucket can transform into Snowball in a Bucket. It’s fun and it looks great and like the Fun Casino once guests turn up most of the decor job is done by the stalls.
3. Great Gatsby Theme Party: Want a dress up theme for a more formal office Christmas party? The Great Gatsby is perfect. The roaring 20’s were a time of style and freedom. The great war had ended and people were fighting against prohibition. It’s all flapper girls and gangsters.
Your guests get a clear dress code and you have a theme for the entertainment and decor. This is also a great theme if you have a bit more of a budget. Add a Jazz band and some stage decor. You can dress the entrance to make it feel like a bar during prohibition. Have a burlesque show. Drop a huge backdrop behind the band, add an undercover Gin Bar, hire 1920’s cars for outside! The list is endless.
4. Winter Wonderland: The winter wonderland theme is decoration heavy. The idea here is to transform the venue into a magical space that takes guests breaths away as they arrive. I wouldn’t tackle this theme without a healthy budget as transforming room can’t be half done. White velvet drapes around the room, White sparkly dance floor and white Christmas decorations are a must.
Lighting in cool blue adds a dramatic effect and an ice sculpture can make a nice centre piece. Entertainment can be whatever you like once bands etc are willing to jump into the theme. Its been done a lot for an office Christmas party but thats because its a popular theme. https://www.junction.ie/themed-events/?swcfpc=1
5. The Night Circus: Moving away from Themes you might know we decided to throw in one that you might not know. The Night Circus is a 2011 fantasy novel by Erin Morgenstern. The idea is it is a Circus that moves around, opens at sun down and closes at sun up. Two magicians/illusionists are vying for your attention and creating ‘experiences’ around the venue.
The really cool and fun thing about this theme is everything in the circus is in Black and White. The decor, the entertainers and the guests! Options for this are endless. This is a dress up theme so everyone needs to dress in Black and White. Its such a fun theme and once your guests are up for joining in its a great night with fun decor and entertainment options. This is great night for a unique Office Christmas Party.
