As your big day comes around you begin to panic about whether or not you have enough entertainment for your guests. It used to be enough to book a room, order a caterer and fill your guests full of drink before you made an early exit on a foreign holiday. Oh how times have changed.
Brides and grooms now obsess over every little detail. Not only this but there is so much more to choose from. And to make it even more challenging weddings can now span a whole weekend.
So what to put on for you guests?
Well the band and DJ are a no brainer but what is the best entertainment for after the church to help your guests mingle.. Or how about the day after the wedding when your families and friends are standing around with sore heads?
Games are great for weddings
I have been to many weddings at this stage.. both personally and professionally, and I have seen what works and what doesn’t. I highly reccomend having some games available for guests to engage with. My favourite are the ones that can be played with the other guests and more importantly… with a drink in one hand.
You might not have heard of some of these games but they really get people talking and the competitive juices flowing..
Kubb: This is one of the best garden games out there. What does it involve? Throwing sticks at other sticks! It takes a little time to get your head around it but once you do I guarantee people will be talking about it for months after. We usually provide someone to help people through the rules. We also provide printed rules.
Smite: This game originated in Scandinavia but the version I like is a Cornish variation. It looks a lot like skittles but you need to get a specific score without going over. This one is great for all ages. We also provide you with score cards in case your maths skills have been hampered by too much Prosecco.
Cornhole: Another Cornish game on the list. You set up 2 boards opposite each other and people must throw sacks into a hole on the opposing board. Simple theory but not as easy as it sounds.
Giant Jenga: Kids and adults love this one. Everyone has played Jenga at some stage so this one is sure to get everyone involved
Giant Connect 4: Another game that everyone will have played at some stage. I like the wooden version of this. I always try and keep plastic away from any event where possible.
They are the essentials.. However if you want to beef it up a bit then you could always add some of the following.. Giant Chess or Checkers, Limbo, Tug of War, Space Hoppers, Giant Operation, Giant Buzzer, Foosball.

We don’t just deliver the games and drive away. Its your big day and you want it to be beautiful. We get that. We provide the rules on Artists Easels and also give you blackboards with the games names on them. We also have hand made bunting that we put up around the games to create a bespoke games area.
So what should you expect to pay?
For the basic 5 games package, décor and delivery we change €750 + VAT for most places in Ireland. You get to keep the games for the day and we will pick them up the day after. We also leave a member of staff there for 2 hours to make sure you have the hang of all the games.
